Aphonopelma hentzi is a US native species. Like may of our native species it has an excessive number of common names, so I'm sure wouldn't be able to give them all, but the most often heard by me would be the Texas brown and Oklahoma brown.
These are a generally very mellow species that's easy going and slower moving. Care and temperament will be similar to the more common A. chalchodes (Arizona blond) and similarly, they are also a great beginner species. These are also very slow growing but also live a very long time so they are a species you need patience with, because they take their time with everything.
