Our replacement lids are a perfect drop in replacement with absolutely NO modification or DIY required to make them work, and they have many benefits beyond just the massive improvement of visibility. Changing from the Zoo Med screen top to our lid offers the following benefits:
Improved moisture/humidity retention
Improved viewing pleasure through the top.
Animal safety increase for tarantulas or other critters that may get stuck on the screen
Improved containment. The original screen can be chewed through, but our acrylic wont be.
Increased strength. Our lids will easily survive the weight of a typical house cat, and can be a great safety measure if you keep your tarantulas in a common area with cats.
The design for these mimics our 8x8 version in that there is a simple looking plastic frame and a large acrylic window.
